Hello, Grade 1 Families,
Learning Intention: I can appreciate multiple points of view, languages, cultures and experiences within my groups and communities.
Hearing our students share about their family traditions has been so wonderful. We have loved hearing the stories, seeing the artifacts and watching the family videos. Thank you for supporting your child in this learning. When students are presenting, I observe the other students with their active listening skills. I am looking for students to sit, watch the speaker, and keep their hands to themselves. For presenters, I am looking for students who can explain what a tradition is, what the tradition they are presenting is and why it is important to them. As a class, we discuss the traditions and how they are similar to each other and how they are different.
